Our Top 5 Gear and Hardware Recommendations
We get asked all the time for our in-office SmartTV, hardware, and gear recommendations.
Here are our 5 best hardware & gear tips for using TouchMD to educate patients and present a technology-forward experience to create great first impressions and drive conversions.
1/ Take most patient photos with an iPad
Although taking photos on any recent iOS device works well, with a basic TouchMD setup we highly recommend using iPads to get the highest quality photos possible. The 11 or 12.9 inch iPad Pro or the iPad Air each has a 12 megapixel camera.
2/ Pair your Canon EOS or Powershot camera with an iPad
To take your photography to the next level, pair your Canon EOS or Powershot camera with an iPad. When you set up TouchMD’s Canon Connect program, pictures taken with the Canon camera are saved to the patient’s account in real time. Here's how to set up Canon Connect.
3/ Use AirPlay to mirror your iPad during consultation
The iPad is the most versatile option for the consultation room, and we recommend using the iPad Pro or iPad Air. These are light and easy to carry and make it easy to hand off to the patient to take control and draw/type when needed.
4/ Install the Frame TV by Samsung
The Frame TV by Samsung is the most aesthetically pleasing large screen option as the bezel can be changed to fit your practice’s decor. It has Apple Airplay embedded, allowing you to mirror your iPad to the TV during the consultation.
5/ Run TouchMD Playlist with a Fire Stick
If you use TouchMD Playlist looping technology, pair the Frame TV with a Fire TV Stick. Or if you prefer to have your Fire Stick built into your TV, you may want to check out the Toshiba – 55″ Class C350 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Fire TV.
